MV-200 is a subsea enclosure purpose-built for GigE machine-vision cameras, enabling high-quality scientific imaging as part of integrated oceanographic payloads. Rather than targeting general-purpose viewing, MV-200 is designed for applications where image data must be precisely controlled, time-aligned, and recorded alongside other sensor measurements. It is particularly well suited for scientific surveys.
The enclosure supports a wide selection of Basler ace series GigE cameras, offering flexibility in sensor resolution, frame rate, and pixel format. The use of C-mount optics enables access to a broad ecosystem of lenses, allowing users to tailor magnification, field of view, and depth of field to their specific application.
MV-200 features a flat optical viewport, selected to maximize depth of field. When paired with SIDEKICK instrument hubs, MV-200 benefits from native support through the Sixclear JADE software environment, enabling full camera configuration, raw image capture, and synchronized timestamping with other instruments. This tight integration allows imaging data to become a first-class component of the overall dataset rather than a standalone video stream.
MV-200 is not intended to replace turnkey inspection cameras or compressed video systems; instead, it provides a controlled, flexible imaging platform for scientists who require transparency, configurability, and high-quality raw data as part of their mission workflow.
